Non-contact safety interlock switches are the best choice for
washdown applications; the switch components are sealed and rated
NEMA 4X, IEC IP67
-
Tolerant of dirt buildup, sensing distance, and alignment
-
System consists of three components:
-
Coded magnet
-
Reed switch sensor
-
Controller module
-
Magnet contains several differently-polarized magnets, and sensor
contains pole-stable reed contacts to minimize possibility of defeat
-
Easy installation; can be concealed for added defeat resistance
-
Sensor reed switches provide diverse input to the controller module
-
Must be used with Gate Monitoring modules for safety applications:

Safety switch is integrated and encapsulated into a load-bearing
hinge, providing a high degree of protection from intentional defeat
- Switch components concealed inside the hinge are protected from
mechanical impact, providing superior performance to
actuator-activated safety switches
- Hinge operates to a full 180° range of motion; safety switching
point (guard-closed position) is adjustable over the full 0-180°
operating range
- When properly interfaced or used with an appropriate controller,
two SI-HG80DQD(R) switches can achieve safety category 4, per ISO
13949 (EN 954-1)
- Robust zinc die-cast housing is corrosion resistant

-
Simultaneous action of both hand controls generates an output
signal; if either hand is released, the output signal from the
DUO-TOUCH is cancelled and cannot be reestablished until both hand
controls have been released, and simultaneously actuated again
-
Redundant forced-guide (positive guided) output contacts are
monitored to prevent an output signal from occurring if a fault is
detected
-
AT-FM-10K, AT-GM/HM-13A and AT-GM/HM-11KM designed to meet Type IIIC
requirements of EN574; may be used with STB Series self-checking
optical touch buttons
-
AT-FM-2A designed to meet Type IIIB/IIIA requirements of EN574; may
be used with OTB Series optical touch buttons (available together as
a "kit")

Contactors provide an additional 10 or 16 amp current carrying
capability to any safety system
- Auxiliary contacts provide 3 or 4 additional contacts
- Suppressors extend the life of the actuating device (light
screen, two-hand control module, etc.)
- Modular construction for ease of assembly and installation
- Can be used with Banner's optical safety systems, two-hand
control modules and emergency-stop safety modules
- Safety Systems with Output Signal Switching Device (OSSD) will
use 24V dc Positively Guided Contactors, all other safety systems
can use 24V dc or 120V ac Positively Guided Contactors (depending on
application)
