Cimplicity ME View

Easy to use and scalable to processes of all sizes, View puts a new face on factory automation. View's unique new technology gives developers an intuitive, drag-and-drop environment - one that helps them create applications in record time. And with a powerful range of graphical, alarming, trending, data analysis, and scripting tools, your plant will be well on the way to higher efficiency and increased productivity.

A Complete Set of Functions
View includes all the functions any user could ask for. From data collection and trending to system security and alarming, View delivers a complete set of features that enables you to configure and view any application with ease. With data publishing, you can access information via the Internet. Use any standard web browser to access production data, financial information, and even graphical displays! All these functions are included, with no extra add on required.

Easy to Learn, Easy to Use
Using COM/DCOM and ActiveX technologies, View provides true drag-and-drop development and runtime tools. The tight integration between View, other powerful Machine Edition components, and third-party applications - in a single, shared workspace - means control engineers spend less time on the learning curve. And that translates into higher operating efficiency and lower development costs.

A Better Bottom Line
Through GE Fanuc's cutting-edge technology, View helps you maximize your factory's efficiency without breaking the bank. With all its sophisticated yet easy-to-use development and runtime features, View puts you miles ahead of the competition!

Powerful Development Tools
The Navigator gives you unprecedented control over projects allowing you to see all the elements of your application in one quick glance. Each project may contain one or many HMI and control applications, as well as any other related files like MS Word documents, spreadsheets, or CAD drawings. Targets can be either Windows NT or CE devices.

The Toolchest contains over 2000 pre-configured objects. When developing an application, simply click the object you want and drag it to your graphical panel for editing. You can even group multiple objects to edit all at once. You can store objects you create yourself, including panels, scripts, and alarm groups. With such simple handling of objects, each application built saves time exponentially on the next one.

For even faster development time, View features a common database shared with other Machine Edition components, eliminating tedious searches and re-keying.

Complete Runtime Tools
View has powerful run-time capabilities. Choose from three types of alarms: monitor limit, deviation, and rate of change - all are logged for easy process history auditing. You can have as many alarm windows as you like. Trending can be viewed in real-time or historical contexts. Data Watch lets you monitor customized data variable tables. Full reporting of real-time or historical alarms and an easy-to-use scripting engine round out View's runtime tools.

Superb Networking and Connectivity
View's robust networking capabilities expand the power of your systems. When projects call for multiple view and control applications, this package lets you create projects with multiple stations and network them automatically. 32-bit networking lets you reference and use tags from any other View runtimes on the network. It supports all leading PLCs including GE Fanuc, Allen-Bradley, and Modicon, and because it's OPC compliant it also supports connectivity to hundreds of OPC servers. Because View runs on open platforms, it's easy to connect your interface devices to MIS systems over standard networks like Ethernet. Once linked, computers communicate efficiently using open technologies like OPC, Active-X, COM/DCOM, and SQL
