GE Fanuc's S2K series servo amplifiers
convert a torque, velocity, or pulse signal from an external controller
to the proper current required to drive the servo motor. They offer
improved high-speed performance, robust power blocks to eliminate
overheating during motor stall, compatibility with microstepping
resolutions, and reduced servo tuning requirements with self-tuning,
all-digital drive. Compact design minimizes valuable panel space
requirements.
The GE Fanuc S2K series products offer amplifier and control capability for servo and stepping motor systems in a standalone integrated package. These products incorporate all-digital amplifier technology and fast servo update rates for enhanced performance. The DeviceNet implementation includes the ODVA-defined position controller master-slave protocol as well as peer-to-peer control for multi-axis standalone systems. Features and Benefits Wide torque from 5.7-322 lb-in (0.64-36.3 Nm) Control either torque, velocity or position mode Comprehensive front panel diagnostics Auto tuning function. |

The SL series servo family is comprised
of the Z-Series and the V-Series components. The Z-Series amplifiers
cover servos from 30 Watt to 750 Watt continuous rating. The V-Series
covers servos from 1,000 Watt to 5,000 Watt continuous rating. While
many of the functions and configuration parameters are the same from
both series, there are a number of differences. One of the primary
differences is the I/O configuration on the CN I/F interface connector
of the amplifier. The V-Series uses a 50-pin interface connector and
contains several signals not included on the A-Series amplifiers. The
Z-Series amplifiers use a 36-pin interface connector and use parameter
configurations to assign different I/O functions to some of the
connector pins.
Features and Benefits Continuous stall torque from 0.84-140 in-lb (0.095-15.8 Nm) Compact amplifier design conserves critical panel space User configurable control modes for position, velocity or torque control High torque-to-inertia ratios provide high performance in a small package On-the-fly control mode switching for dual control of position, velocity, or torque |

The modular design Alpha Servo Amplifier
offers the advantages of compact size and efficiency. A single power
supply provides DC power to multiple amplifiers, either servo or
spindle. This offers the advantage of higher efficiency, higher
reliability, and lower cost rather than having individual power supplies
for each servo and spindle.
The Alpha Series Servo Amplifiers provide the latest IPM technology. Amplifiers are available in seven sizes, with peak current limit ratings from 12 amps to 360 amps. In addition, both dual- and triple-axes amplifiers are offered for even more panel space savings. |

The GE Fanuc high-performance Alpha Series
digital AC Servo Drives are available in a range of sizes for use with
GE Fanuc CNCs, Power Mates and Series 90-30 PLC controllers. The highest
possible resistance to environmental noise is provided by the
fiber-optic serial servo bus (FSSB), and the serial-encoder feedback,
further supporting machine uptime. Closing the control loops in the CNC
also provides comprehensive, real-time information of every aspect of
the machine and drive system dynamics, enabling superior performance of
the advanced algorithms, particularly those used in high-speed
machining. Advanced digital signal processors in the CNC allow
high-speed processing of current and position feedback resulting in
smoother surface finish and higher accuracy parts.
High productivity with high-quality machining throughout the cutting range is provided by superior construction, and a unique skewed magnet arrangement that delivers high acceleration to high speeds and smooth operation and high torque at low speeds. Features and Benefits World-leading reliability Digitally set parameters, no re-tuning required High resolution 64K count per revolution incremental encoder feedback An optional brake AC line regeneration An optional IP67 environmental rating available for most motors Optional 64K or 1 Million count per revolution absolute encoders; eliminate re-homing |

The Beta Series Servo amplifier
integrates a power supply with the power switching circuitry, resulting
in a compact amplifier that is 60 percent smaller than conventional
models. In fact, the Beta series amplifier has the same height and depth
as a GE Fanuc Series 90-30 PLC module. The amplifier is designed to
conform to international standards - European CE, North American UL, and
Canadian CSA.
Features and Benefits World-leading reliability Low maintenance The latest technologies, such as high-speed serial encoders and high-efficiency Integrated Power Modules The Beta Series servo motors are built on the superior technology of the Alpha Series servos. They incorporate several design improvements for the best performance possible with reduced cost and size. Ratings of 5.3 in-lb (0.6 Nm) to 105 in-lb (12 Nm) are offered. These motors are up to 15 percent shorter and lighter than comparable servos. A smaller rotor means less mass and therefore better acceleration for higher machine cycle rates. New insulation on the windings and an overall sealant coating help protect the motor from the environment. The Beta motors conform to international standards (IEC). The motor protection level is IP55. A 32K absolute encoder is standard with each Beta Series Servo. An optional holding brake is also available with each model. The GE Fanuc high-performance Beta Series digital AC Servo systems are available in a range of sizes for use with GE Fanuc PowerMotion and CNC control systems. The Beta Series Servo systems offer the highest reliability and performance. Designed with the motion control market in mind, the Beta Series Servo drives are ideally suited for the packaging, material handling, converting, and metal fabrication industries. |

The GE Fanuc S-Series motors are both
versatile and rugged. They are used with both the S2K and SL Series
products. These motors use high-energy neodymium rare earth magnets for
superior cost/performance ratios.
Features and Benefits Models from 5.7 to 322 in-lb (0.64 to 36.3Nm) continuous Sinusoidal commutation provides smooth servo performance 2500 ppr differential quadrate encoder with serial commutation feedback Brushless design minimizes electromagnetic interference, carbon dust and maintenance NEMA servo mounting configurations for motors up to 28 in-lb are standard Optional 24 VDC electrically Optional 24 VDC electrically 1-5 kW models include integral shaft oil seal and MS style connectors |

S-Series high-torque stepping motors
incorporate many design features to enhance reliability and performance.
Samarium-cobalt magnets provide high torque-to-inertia ratios for
exceptional machine cycle rates. Rare earth magnet inserts in the stator
increase torque production, resulting in maximum power for minimum motor
size.

The Power Cube stepping motor-drive package
provides a cost-effective solution for OEM stepping motor applications
in a rugged and easy-to-install package. The Power Cube is ideal for
high-volume applications such as packaging and material handling. It
accepts pulse and direction inputs from an external pulse source such as
the GE Fanuc Operator Control Station stepping control module. And
unlike many low-cost stepping motor drives, the Power Cube has a
high-performance, bipolar chopper design that maintains constant current
in a wide range of operating conditions.
Power Cube Features Like all GE Fanuc products, the Power Cube incorporates key design features to provide the flexibility, performance, and ease of service you demand. |
